Louisiana Tech African-American Association Scholarship Fund
The Louisiana Tech African-American Association (LaTech-AAA) scholarship fund was founded on the belief that any motivated individual in need should have the opportunity to further his or her education. By removing some of the financial burdens associated with going to, surviving in, and graduating from college, the LaTech-AAA plays a vital role in increasing college access and success for many motivated yet underserved youth and young adults. The scholarship can be used to cover tuition expenses and related supplemental educational expenses such as books, lab fees, travel and select costs of living. The scholarships are managed through a partnership with the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) through its Potts/Robinson Scholarship program. All LaTech-AAA Scholars are required to participate in programs surrounding the Potts/Robinson Scholarship and “give back” by conducting community service and by serving as mentors to younger, aspiring LaTech-AAA Scholars

General Donations
General Donations: Funds that are applied to the general LaTech-AAA scholarship fund. Funds are distributed per the Association’s approved guidelines.
Each member will have the option to select a Group Affiliation. For general donations on behalf of LaTech-AAA the Group Affiliation will be “LaTech AAA”. You can also identify specific group affiliations by adding the group's name such as “LaTech AAA – Omega Psi Phi”, “LaTech AAA – Alpha Kappa Alpha”, “LaTech AAA – Soul Tech” or any other group affiliation.
You will have the option to make a single lump sum donation or make small monthly donations.

Guided Donations
Guided Donations: Guided donations are donations from individuals or groups that provide criteria for the distribution of scholarship funds. The individuals or groups are required to complete the Scholarship Award Definition Form. Funds are distributed per the MOU contained within the Scholarship Award Definition Form. There's a $2K yearly minimum and three-year commitment for guided donations.

For guided donations on behalf of LaTech-AAA the Group Affiliation will be “LaTech AAA – Name of your Scholarship”. Those funds will be applied to funding your scholarship per the Scholarship Award Definition document.
